In September 2010, Fondinvest Capital became a signatory to the United Nation’s Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI). These Principles are a set of voluntary guidelines for investors wishing to incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues into investment decision-making.
Fondinvest believes that ESG issues can positively impact the performance of investment portfolios. For that purpose, extra-financial issues are taken into account to evaluate a private equity fund.
We are engaged in addressing environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) issues in the framework of our activities. We believe that responsible investment is fundamental to creating value in the investments we make.
As a signatory of the “PRI” (Principles for Responsible Investment), since 2010, we are committed to the further development of ESG policies and procedures in a manner that has, if possible, a positive impact on the Management Company and the portfolio investments. As a result, we strive:
- to ensure that due diligence and monitoring for each investment include consideration of environmental, social (including health and safety, employees, human rights, consumer and community issues) and governance issues;
- to encourage our portfolio investments, to consider ESG criteria in their activities.
However, adopting a responsible approach taking into account the “ESG” criteria must not negatively impact our Funds’ strategies and investment objectives, and the Management Company is required to act in the best interests of its Investors in the Funds managed, in accordance with the Funds’ purposes and their investment policies.
